Shelly Ballestero

Shelly Ballestero is an entrepreneur, custom closet designer, and founder of Classic Closets, where she specializes in creating personalized storage solutions that combine functionality, organization, and elevated design. Based in Lake Mary, Florida, she brings more than six years of experience in the custom storage industry, designing closets, pantries, home offices, garages, and other living spaces using CAD technology. As the owner of her own business, Shelly oversees every aspect of the client experience—from consultations and concept development to project coordination, marketing, and installation management—ensuring each project reflects her commitment to quality craftsmanship and thoughtful design.

Before launching Classic Closets, Shelly built a diverse professional background spanning real estate, beauty, publishing, and design. She worked as a closet designer with Closet Envee, served as a licensed real estate agent, and spent several years as a freelance makeup artist and esthetician. Earlier in her career, she became a published author with Beauty by God: Inside Out Secrets for Women, a book that reflected her passion for organization, beauty, and purposeful living. She further strengthened her design expertise through studies in graphic design at Valencia College, organizational certification, and CAD/AutoCAD training, allowing her to blend creativity with technical precision in every project.

Beyond her business accomplishments, Shelly is passionate about giving back and using design to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. She founded the nonprofit initiative Closets Within Reach, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing custom, accessible closets for children battling serious illnesses and their families. Guided by values of authenticity, generosity, and relationship-building, she believes that exceptional design begins with listening to clients and creating personalized spaces that improve everyday life. As a mentor and advocate for women in business, Shelly continues to inspire others through her entrepreneurial journey, community involvement, and dedication to creating beautiful, functional spaces that serve both practical and personal needs.
