Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to resilience and purpose. After the loss of my son in 2016, I chose to channel my experience into helping others navigate grief and loss. I focus on creating a supportive environment where people feel seen and understood, helping them embrace the natural process of grieving while finding moments of positivity and hope during one of life’s most challenging experiences.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received—and one I’ve learned from personal experience—is that sometimes, you don’t need to say or do anything; you simply need to coexist with others respectfully and authentically. I also remind myself that I am not defined by the challenges I’ve faced. My driving motivation is to live in a way that would make my son proud.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this field is to ensure that this is truly the path you want to pursue, as the work can be emotionally heavy. It’s equally important to take time for yourself and “fill your own cup,” so you can bring your best self to the people you serve.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The most important values in my work and personal life are empathy, connection, and trust. I prioritize building meaningful relationships—not only within HR management but also with individuals as they navigate some of the most challenging seasons of their lives.
