About Sheri

Sheri Ranger is a nonprofit leader and Chair of the Board of the Pierson Ranger Educational Foundation, a 501(c)(3) scholarship organization she co-founded in 2023. Her work focuses on empowering single mothers through access to higher education, helping reduce financial barriers and create greater educational and economic opportunities for women and their families. The foundation has funded scholarships for single mothers pursuing college education in Pennsylvania. Ranger holds a high school degree and attributes her drive to helping other women succeed, having raised two daughters on her own who both attended the University of Pennsylvania, with one earning a PhD. She began volunteering with local charities in 2021 and co-founded the foundation to address waste in other organizations and provide more direct support. No board members receive salaries or commissions, as stipulated in the bylaws, reflecting the commitment to donating time and resources to the cause.

01What do you attribute your success to?

My drive is to help sincerely help other women. I was fortunate I did not go to university or to college. I have a high school degree. And I made some smart investments and I have done well and I'm at that point in my life where it's time to give back and I want to see other women succeed and do more with their lives. I raised two daughters on my own. They received a very good education and University of Pennsylvania and they I won with a PhD and I want them to do the same thing and I want to lead by example so they can see what I'm doing they will then pass that on to help other women.
