Ten minutes with Sheridan
01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Trust your gut and follow it even when facing backlash. Be bold and confident in your abilities rather than making yourself small. Women often face challenges being taken seriously but should persist with what fulfills them.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Community mental health faces significant barriers including funding cuts, loss of Medicaid coverage, lack of stable internet or devices for telehealth, making it hard for people to access basic care despite needing it.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Authenticity and existential alignment. Being able to walk the talk, accepting freedom and responsibility of choice, creating meaning, and addressing core human issues like life, death, and purpose without judgment across any background.
