Sherrika Sanders: An influential woman is basically what the word says, a woman of influence. And a woman of influence means a woman that is a role model, a role model, a woman who sets the example. A woman who if she were to see her daughter, her niece, just a younger version of her or another young lady mimicking her acts, her words, the things that she says and does, that she would be proud of that, proud of the way that she carries herself, proud of, of the Things that she accomplishes and proud that she stays true to who she is regardless of any of outside of the outside pressures because the outside pressures aren't just something that teenagers and small kids have. We even have them as adults. And so an influential woman is just that, a woman whose influence is one that is shared and or can be shared, uh, and even mimicked or copied by those coming behind her.
What's one piece of advice you would give to younger women chasing their dreams?
Sherrika Sanders: I think it's amazing to have dreams, number one. But let's also put together a plan. But when we put together this plan, we must know that things will come up, things will typically happen that may either throw us off course or a little bit or attempt to take us off course, and that is absolutely OK. The thing with having goals, with having a plan, with having a dream, is to make it, first, honestly, submitting it unto God, because when you do that, you know that no matter what happens in between and what other, whatever obstacles may come your way, that you're still working towards that thing and that that promise is still something that will be fulfilled. But, you know, stay true to your dreams, straight, stay true to your desires. Don't let the outside world or outside influences try to determine whether or not it makes sense. Whether or not that's enough money to sustain a particular type of lifestyle. But really, just know that if it gives you passion, if it makes you happy, if it's something where you find your purpose, stick with that. It will not be easy. If it's easy, then your dream is too small. Because if it's truly your dream, if it's truly your purpose, if it's truly something you're called to, to do and something that will honestly make you great, it's gonna make you uncomfortable. And we have to get comfortable with being uncomfortable. We have to be OK with knowing that it may not always work out exactly as we want, but that is just fine. Hold on to that. Keep to it. Stay prayed up. Make, get you a great circle of friends around you. If you are the smartest one in your circle, you're in the wrong circle. Get you some great people around you, a support system, a mentor that can help you and guide you. Someone who may have been where you've been, who've gone through the trenches already and can kinda help direct you on where to go and how to move. But Chase your dreams, live your life, live your truth, and don't let any other person set the standard of what that is supposed to look like for you.

About Sherrika
Transform the GAAP (Goals Aligned with God’s Purpose) is a Christ-centered mentorship community for wives and mothers who lead: at work, at home, and in the marketplace.
Founded by a former corporate accounting leader who understands the weight of responsibility and the quiet exhaustion behind achievement, Transform the GAAP exists to help high-capacity women return to God’s pace. We walk alongside ambitious wives and mothers who love Jesus, love their families, and feel called to lead — but refuse to lose themselves in the process.
Here, we address more than strategy. We shepherd hearts.
Through biblical guidance, practical leadership tools, and honest mentorship, we help women:
- Silence imposter syndrome with truth
- Establish healthy, faith-rooted boundaries
- Strengthen their marriage and motherhood while leading well
- Build legacy without sacrificing peace
- Lead with confidence anchored in Christ — not performance
You were never meant to choose between impact and intimacy with God. You were created to flourish in both.
If you’re ready to lead boldly, love deeply, and live aligned with Heaven’s pace — let’s begin the journey together.
