About Sherry
Sherry Baker is an educator and travel agent who has been active in her field since 2004. In addition to teaching and coaching students from elementary through college levels, she maintains her own travel agency. Baker serves on the advisory board of the Liberty County Boys and Girls Club, where she develops career readiness programs that connect classroom learning with future opportunities for young people. She advises young women entering her industries to find their niche aligned with personal values, examine both vertical and horizontal career paths to avoid stagnation, and maintain flexibility to pivot when needed.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Find your niche and what you like so you don't have conflict with your values. Look at how the ladder works vertically and horizontally so you can move and not get stuck in one position. When you get a little bored, you always have other options.
