Ten minutes with Sherry

01What do you attribute your success to?

I had a love relationship with Target. I wanted to go buy whatever I want, and many times I won't. Everybody has their why. That was one of my whys. I became debt-free early on, because I literally got in a sales job, put my head down, put the amount that I wanted to make, and grinded until the debt was paid off. You just gotta really if you are a woman who desires to be someone that is not just in the room, but impacts the room. You have to be someone that is very observant, slow to speak, quick to listen, and really know that if you set that goal, and you I am the person that I know in my life, if I say I'm gonna do some. The best thing I'. I'm gonna go to Ghana next year, I'm going to Ghana. If I say that I'm going to make $200,000 just doing this one thing, I'm going to do it. Because I have that type of belief in trusting God that whatever He affords me the opportunity to hold in my hand, that He's gonna make provision for me to do it.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Always be learning. Once you become a subject matter expert, which we call a SME. It's always good to have a rabbit to chase, so if you're always learning, there's always someone that you can look up to, admire in business that you can, have a mentorship with. So. If you're the smartest person, you've probably heard this before, but. If you're in the smartest person in the room, you need to get another room. That's a true saying, because in order for you to be the best version of yourself. You have to continually keep feeding yourself morning, noon, and night, breakfast. once in. dinner. Things that help you grow and learn better.
