Sheyenne Mitchell is a dynamic business leader and General Manager at Fastenal Company, where she strategically aligns supply chain solutions to meet client needs through value-added partnerships and exceptional service. With a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce, Sheyenne’s foundation in marketing, management, and economics has fueled her rapid rise within Fastenal. Originally coming from the restaurant industry, she discovered her passion for supply chain and business management through a college roommate’s recommendation and quickly made her mark by working her way up through various roles in the company.
Since becoming General Manager, Sheyenne has successfully tripled her division’s sales within just two years, showcasing her strong leadership and strategic vision. She places a high value on employee development, believing that investing in her team is key to sustaining long-term growth and success. Known for her ability to balance data-driven decision-making with genuine mentorship, Sheyenne is committed to building strong teams and driving impactful results in the competitive landscape of supply chain management.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to stick to it, stay strong, and always believe in yourself—you’re more capable than you think.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges—and opportunities—in my field is navigating and excelling in a male-dominated industry, where women make up only 25% of our workforce, but I truly enjoy and embrace the chance to break barriers and lead by example.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are integrity, hard work, open-mindedness, respect, and never giving up—especially as I stay grounded by my community, quality time with my 5-year-old son, and my love for playing softball.
