Her Interview

Ten minutes with Shivangi

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would give mostly to my friends and family. They have actually been like pushing me towards something that I've always wanted. And being like a absolute screen door for me that bad things can just be kept out good things they'll just like keep on pushing you towards. So I think friends and family. Some of the co-workers also.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

During a WISH conference I met Dr. Lifa Su CEO of AMD. She said why do you have to be another me when you can be as powerful as yourself you just need two things. You just need to know how you're going to get there and the second is you need to have a group of circles that's going to push you towards that vision.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be fearless be yourself because people will try to walk over you if you are not fearless. And they will say that you are a bit outspoken or you are a bit other words I don't want to use but I would say just be yourself at the end of that you have to work around you and they will have to work with you.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

As an immigrant, one of the biggest challenges I experienced was breaking into the industry and securing the type of role I wanted. Getting that initial opportunity took time, but it ultimately helped me build resilience and perseverance in pursuing my career goals.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I value respect, especially respecting other people’s time. When someone gives you their time, it is important to honor it by being punctual, considerate, and mindful of their commitments.
