Ten minutes with Shobana

01What do you attribute your success to?

I think meditation sets you apart and keeps you calm through tough challenges. I learned how to scale impact to people by providing the right tools and increasing high morale which automatically delivers results. I have a high EQ which helps me sense the room and I'm very hardworking and just get stuff done so people know if something is handed off to me it will get done.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

We women have come a long way and it's no longer where we have to fight so much for opportunities. Acknowledge our strengths like the emotional element, multitasking, keeping track of things, staying organized. Our weaknesses are we overthink and find it difficult to disconnect from work. Learn from men to be very direct and not take things to heart and purely look at business. Do not ever let anyone tell you because you're a woman you can't do it. You could be the only woman in the room so make sure you have a loud voice.
