Her Interview
Ten minutes with Shriya
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my diverse international experience and ability to adapt across cultures and markets. Growing up in India, earning my MBA in Europe, and working in Canada and the United States have given me a global perspective on business and leadership. These experiences have taught me to understand different work cultures, tailor strategies to local markets, and remain flexible in achieving meaningful results.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I've ever received came from my parents: be open to people and new experiences, because even the most difficult situations have something to teach you. That mindset has shaped both my life and career, helping me embrace change rather than resist it. I apply the same perspective to emerging technologies like AI, viewing them as opportunities to enhance human capabilities rather than replace them. Throughout history, those who remain adaptable and open to learning are the ones best positioned to seize new opportunities.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to be authentic and recognize your unique strengths. Understand what you bring to the table and find ways to apply those qualities to create meaningful impact in your work. The more you build on your strengths and stay true to yourself, the more confident and successful you'll become.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities in the technology industry is the growing shift toward more inclusive and equitable workplaces. While corporate environments have historically been designed around male-centric norms, many organizations are now implementing policies that better support women, particularly those balancing careers with caregiving responsibilities. Although meaningful progress has been made, there is still work to be done to ensure all professionals have equal opportunities to thrive, especially in a fast-paced industry that demands a high level of commitment and innovation.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is the value I hold most highly in both my work and personal life. It allows me to act with purpose, take pride in the quality of my work, and focus on making a meaningful impact. Whether using emerging technologies like AI or traditional approaches, I believe integrity should always guide our decisions and actions, because it is the foundation of trust, accountability, and lasting success.
