Her Interview

Ten minutes with Shweta

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to resilience, curiosity, and the willingness to step beyond traditional boundaries. I refused to let my technical background limit me, instead using it as a foundation to bridge engineering and business. By understanding both technology and customer needs, I was able to create meaningful impact and build a career defined by growth and adaptability.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is, “Don’t wait for a title to think like the person in the next role.” It taught me to take initiative, think beyond my responsibilities, and prepare for opportunities before they arrive. I carry this mindset throughout my career and encourage others to step forward, embrace growth, and lead with confidence.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to build strong technical expertise, stay curious, and have the confidence to take up space. Don’t wait for permission to contribute to strategic conversations—bring your perspective, seek honest mentorship, and continue growing beyond your comfort zone.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge and opportunity in my field is navigating the rapid evolution of AI and cybersecurity. Organizations are adopting AI quickly while working to ensure it is secure and responsible. I focus on helping customers move beyond fragmented solutions and build smarter, more integrated security strategies that prepare them for the future.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me most are trust, integrity, continuous learning, and mentorship. I believe in being honest, even when it is not the easiest path, because strong relationships are built on transparency and trust. I also value growth and giving back by supporting and empowering others along their journey.
