Ten minutes with Shweta
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a combination of clarity of vision, disciplined execution, and an unwavering focus on outcomes. I approach problems with an ownership mindset—operating at the level of “what is best for the business” rather than within defined boundaries. This allows me to drive decisions, align diverse stakeholders, and deliver results even in highly complex environments.
I strongly believe in simplifying complexity, making high-quality decisions with imperfect information, and holding a high bar for both accountability and impact. My philosophy is to focus on what truly moves the needle—prioritizing long-term value over short-term wins, and ensuring that every effort translates into measurable outcomes.
Equally important is investing in people. I see leadership as a force multiplier—empowering teams with clarity, trust, and direction so they can operate at their highest potential. I am intentional about creating inclusive environments where diverse perspectives are valued, as that is where the most resilient and innovative solutions emerge.
Ultimately, my success comes from consistently operating with purpose, ownership, and a commitment to excellence—while bringing others along to achieve outcomes at scale.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I was once advised that leadership is the ability to translate vision into reality—and everything I’ve done since has centered on that principle. It reinforced the importance of not just having clarity of direction, but the discipline to execute, simplify complexity, and consistently deliver outcomes that matter.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Own your voice early, and don’t wait for permission to lead. Focus on building deep expertise, take on complex challenges, and operate with an ownership mindset—your credibility will follow.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges right now is managing complexity at scale—particularly around AI-driven workloads, multi-cloud environments, and ensuring true resiliency and reliability. At the same time, the opportunity is significant: organizations can now build highly scalable, resilient systems that unlock innovation and business agility at a global level.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity, ownership, and impact are core to everything I do. I believe in doing the right thing, taking accountability for outcomes, and focusing on work that drives meaningful, long-term value. Equally important to me is empowering people and fostering an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives can thrive.
