Throughout her career, Sierra has combined her healthcare experience with a growing passion for law and public policy. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Legal Studies from Colorado State University Pueblo in 2024 before pursuing her Juris Doctor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, with an expected graduation in May 2027. While balancing law school with full-time employment, she has gained practical legal experience through internships with Ventegra's Office of General Counsel and Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains. During her internship with Planned Parenthood, she contributed to drafting model legislation supporting medication abortion access on college campuses, an achievement that culminated in the legislation being enacted into law.
Sierra's professional interests center on the intersection of healthcare, law, regulatory policy, and patient access. Her experience in pharmacy benefits management, healthcare compliance, and legislative research provides her with a distinctive perspective on the legal and operational challenges facing the healthcare industry. Looking ahead, she plans to pass the bar examination and pursue a fellowship with the Colorado Attorney General's Office in its regulations department. Through her continued education and professional leadership, Sierra is committed to applying her knowledge of healthcare operations and law to support effective regulation and meaningful improvements in healthcare access.
