What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my resilience and determination. I have faced significant personal and professional challenges, including having a rare blood disorder, yet I never allowed those circumstances to define my limits. Each setback strengthened my mindset and reinforced my commitment to keep moving forward. I also attribute my success to accountability and self-awareness. When I recognize that I’m not performing at my highest level, I take ownership, reflect, and make the necessary adjustments to improve. I don’t allow doubt from others or myself to dictate what I’m capable of achieving. Ultimately, my success stems from perseverance, confidence, and the unwavering belief that no obstacle is greater than my willingness to grow and push forward.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The most valuable career advice I’ve received is to never give up and to seek out mentors intentionally and learn directly from those whose experience, expertise, and leadership reflect the growth I aspire to achieve.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be confident and never allow anyone to define your limitations. When I began this journey, I had no background in logistics my interests were centered around beauty and cosmetology. That was the path I originally envisioned for myself. However, stepping outside of my comfort zone led me into an entirely new industry, and today I’m proud of how far I’ve come. I’ve built my success without formal schooling or specialized training in this field. What carried me forward was my passion, my work ethic, and the confidence to believe I was capable of learning and excelling. There were certainly moments when others doubted me or suggested I couldn’t succeed but those experiences only strengthened my determination to prove otherwise. Logistics is often perceived as a male dominated industry, yet women bring immense strength, resilience, and leadership to these spaces. My advice is simple: trust yourself, lead with confidence, and don’t be afraid to pursue opportunities that feel unfamiliar. Growth begins the moment you’re willing to step into something new and give it your very best.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of our current challenges is navigating and adapting to our rapid expansion. The growth has been remarkable when I joined three years ago, we operated approximately four warehouses, and today we have gone beyond that. The pace of growth has been both impressive and demanding. As we continue scaling, we will need to expand our team significantly. I am accustomed to working closely with a small direct team of four, so transitioning to a much larger team will be an adjustment. While it will bring added responsibility and pressure in recruiting and onboarding new team members, I see it as an exciting and rewarding opportunity to share my knowledge and contribute to building a strong foundation for the future. We recently hired a new director, and I am currently partnering with to help him on the operational details and processes. I look forward to this collaboration and the opportunity to support his success. Overall, my focus is on fostering strong teamwork, ensuring alignment across departments, and continuing to grow as a leader whom others can trust and rely on during this period of expansion.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are resilience, integrity, intention, consistency, passion, confidence, family, and of course my faith.
