Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to perseverance and discipline. One of my proudest achievements has been balancing dual-sport athletics with full-time academics, which required resilience and strong time management. Being the first in my generation to attend college, growing up in a challenging environment, has been profoundly rewarding.

Throughout my academic and athletic journey, I’ve maintained honors standing while competing in track on scholarship and playing lacrosse. I’ve been inspired by women in athletics, particularly Olympians, whose dedication and work ethic motivated me to pursue a path in health and wellness with intentionality and passion.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received comes from the examples set by women in athletics, particularly Olympians. Observing their work ethic taught me the importance of discipline, consistency, and dedication in pursuing my goals. As a first-generation college student, I’ve also learned to embrace challenges and stay committed to growth, using perseverance and intentional effort to carve my path—especially in the field of health and wellness, which aligns with my passions.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the industry is to serve as visible role models. Show first-generation students that college and professional careers are achievable, and invest time in mentoring and giving back. By sharing your experience and guidance, you can inspire others to pursue their goals with confidence and perseverance.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is navigating the diverse perspectives and needs of clients and team members. Everyone approaches situations differently, which requires patience, adaptability, and clear communication. Another key challenge is creating personalized health and wellness plans—there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. Each individual’s anatomy, goals, and recovery journey are unique, especially after strokes or accidents, so the focus is on understanding where they started and helping them reach the highest level of function possible.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me are giving back, mentorship, and human connection. As a first-generation college student, I’m passionate about supporting youth and showing them what’s possible. In my work, I focus on treating patients as individuals, bringing empathy and small acts of care to make their experience more human and meaningful.
