About Sierra

Sierra Pearson serves as Senior Territory Manager at Procept Biorobotics, a company of approximately 600 employees, where she has worked for the past couple of months. In this role she specializes in sales of a robotic system designed to treat men with benign prostate hypertrophy, building relationships with surgeons and training them to use the technology to help patients. Pearson previously spent three years at ConMed Corporation and four years total in the medical device field after beginning her career in the emergency department. She earned her bachelor's degree from Fresno State in 2017. Her professional achievements include winning President's Club in 2024 and 2021 as well as Rookie of the Year in 2024, both at ConMed. Pearson attributes her success to remaining a student of the game by listening and observing more than speaking, and she emphasizes remembering one's why as the best career advice received. She values operating with high integrity while keeping patients at the forefront, a perspective shaped by her ER background, and she advises young women entering the field to amplify their own unique talents rather than mimic others.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Sierra

01What do you attribute your success to?

I think continuing to be a student of the game and spending more time listening and observing than talking and speaking. If you just listen and watch, you're gonna learn a lot more about the people around you and the value that you can bring them. That's what's given me my success.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Remembering your why, and why you're showing up every day. Because if you leave that as your North Star, you're gonna show up as the best version of yourself.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Every woman brings something different and unique, and their perspective matters. Remember what you bring to the table and don't let anybody allow you to forget it. Find ways to highlight that and lean on the things that you're good at. Amplify your own talents rather than trying to mimic somebody else's.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

You're gonna hear no about 98% of the time, and then it's about operating for the 2% of the time that you get the yes. The persistence and the discipline to keep showing up when majority of the days you don't want to. It's a very autonomous job. Remembering that you're operating for that 2% where you hear the yes and being okay hearing the no.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

In regards to work, it's always operating with a high sense of integrity, remembering that and putting patients at the forefront. My time in the ER gave me a good hands-on approach. Personally, operating with a high sense of integrity but remembering finding what value you can bring to others, whether it be helping them, loving them, or showing them what they need to see within themselves.
