Ten minutes with Sierra
01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The advice that I would give to a younger woman who is interested in this path is to be open and never allow someone to tell you what you can and can't do out here, and as long as you dream big, and you put the work in, you can do whatever your heart desires. Also, not to feel like you have to be limited to one area or one thing. Try everything. That's how you really find out what your true cash is. That's how you land where you're supposed to be.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Well, I just have to acknowledge history. You know, the access that women had years ago versus where we are now, so there's definitely more opportunities. At least 3 barriers, but I'm hopeful that the world is moving in the right direction.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I would say that I value my spirituality. That's the number one priority for me. Definitely value family. Me and my mom. I value integrity. You cannot get far in life, no matter what skills you have, no matter what you bring to the table, without having integrity, and I will say that for me and my personal and professional experience. Integrity has always been the difference maker.
