About Silver
Silver Beaty is a nationally recognized leadership educator, military instructor, and passionate advocate for student development. As an Assistant Professor of Military Science with the U.S. Army Cadet Command at both the University of Montana and Montana Technological University, she brings a rare combination of operational military experience and academic innovation to her classroom. A decorated leader, Silver was named the 2025 U.S. Army Cadet Command Instructor of the Year, a prestigious recognition that reflects her transformational impact on ROTC education, mentorship, and curriculum modernization.

Silver holds a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration with a certificate in Organizational Change from the University of Louisville, where she was also selected for the highly competitive Master Educator Course Administrative Fellowship. Her career spans over 13 years of service in the Montana Army National Guard, including command roles and frontline leadership. Through her pioneering “Continuing the Shatter” women’s leadership symposium and ongoing research in educational modernization and organizational transformation, Silver continues to shape future leaders with authenticity, innovation, and deep dedication to student success. Her journey—from single motherhood to national recognition—underscores her belief in the power of education to uplift and inspire.
