Her Story
About Sireesha
With over two decades of experience in technology staffing and services, I specialize in talent mapping and talent strategy. My work operates at the intersection of talent strategy with predominantly execution across the United States and Canadian markets. On a daily basis, I engage with my customers and key stakeholders within the landscape. I'm responsible for the profit and loss of my business and lead high-performing teams while being part of the strategy in scaling up larger teams within my portfolio. I hold a postgraduate degree in business administration. Having recently moved from India to the United States just three months ago, I previously represented my company for the entire Indian Staffing Federation when I was based in India. In my free time, I do a podcast about work-life integrity and bringing mythology into it, write blogs on LinkedIn, and enjoy hanging out with my daughter and exploring new places.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Sireesha
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the family support that I get and the belief in hard work. Having that strong foundation from my family and maintaining faith in putting in the effort has been essential to everything I've achieved.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I ever received is to always believe in the efforts and don't run behind the immediate results. Delayed gratification is something that is long-lasting. I've been sticking to it and focusing only on my efforts, building my niche, and crafting my skills. I just focus on what needs to be done today, tomorrow, rather than thinking and worrying more about how it's going to shape up or what the outcomes would be.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I share the same legacy of what I have learned: just focus on what needs to be done. Focus on your efforts and start building your craft, rather than worrying so much about the results. Just focus on what needs to be done and do it perfectly, and things would follow - results follow.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges is not focusing on learning. We need to be hands-on with learning, especially with AI around and the competition around, so it's always important to focus on learning and creating that visibility. If we work in silos, thinking that people would notice us, we're wrong - you need to create your own visibility and don't shy away from calling out what you have done, proudly. Visibility is very important, and secondly, learning is very important too. These are some of the challenges that people ignore, and they may actually be getting obsolete.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
For me, gratitude is number one, commitment is number two, and leadership is number three - leadership and guidance. So many people may not be having the guidance, but they may have a lot of skills, so what is required is guidance for them. Gratitude, commitment, and leadership are my core values.
