Her Story

About Sirena

I've been a business owner for more than 20 years, and I've been entrepreneurial most of my life. I started my first business right after graduating, and I've been across several businesses and several industries since then. I enjoy finding solutions to help people - that's just what I enjoy, and my brain's wired for that. Today, I own several local small businesses including a co-working space, a barbershop, and an event space, along with the management consulting work that we do. I don't work in all of them daily because we have a good team. My title is literally 'destroyer of Comfort Zones,' and I'm doing a lot of helping women navigate that overwhelm so they can build the right way. I'm guiding high-capacity leaders out of overload and overperformance and emotional exhaustion before the life that they start to build takes everything or costs them everything. That's the most important work that I've done in all the businesses that I've built. I believe in what I'm able to do and introduce to the world. I realized that someone's waiting for the book only I can write, or the business only I can start, and I don't want to keep anyone waiting. I just believe that there's value in what God has given me to do and give to the world.

Ten minutes with Sirena

01What do you attribute your success to?

For sure, it's just faith and purpose. At the end of the day, I believe in what I'm able to do and introduce to the world, and I want to make sure I don't keep anyone waiting. I realized that someone's waiting for the book only I can write, or the business only I can start, and I don't want to keep anyone waiting. I just believe that there's value in what God has given me to do and give to the world.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say that it is more important to be led, rather than driven. I say that because I've built a lot of things, and I homeschooled and did all the things that many women do, and one day, I did come to the realization that I had built a lot of it the wrong way - sacrificing self in order to succeed. Your success is not supposed to destroy you. You're not supposed to work yourself to the point where you can't even enjoy what it is that you've built. I realized early on that I was more driven than led, and I believe that it's important to be God-led.
