About Sneha

I've been in research for about three and a half years since starting my program, with a total of four years when including the clinical side. After completing my medical degree, I pursued two master's degrees in research - one in neuroscience and the other in genetics. During my master's programs in the UK, I worked in the lab alongside my studies, pursuing research projects for about two additional years. Once I came to the US, I worked in three different lab-based research positions over three years, all focused on the disease industry and comparing pathological disorders with normal bodily functioning. My main area of expertise is neurology, where I've worked extensively and then diversified into subfields like genetics and molecular research. In September of last year, I transitioned into clinical research, which I started exploring as a volunteer because there were no paid positions available at the time. Currently, I coordinate clinical trials at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, where I speak to people about improvisation in the standard of care and how therapy can help improve their lifestyle and life conditioning. My current field has transitioned into oncology, as clinical research is big in that field, and it involves neurology, respiratory tract, and several bodily disease systems. One of my most notable achievements has been publishing a couple of papers in neurology disease research, particularly one focusing on Parkinson's disease and Huntington's disease, which I was very keen on bringing to people's knowledge.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would just say to keep an open mind and keep exploring your opportunities, because some industries are a little bit tough than the others, but if you keep faith and you just take one step at a time, I think you'll get there. And I believe you should have a clear vision, because if you have a clear vision, you'll make it there someday.
