Snigdha Narayan

I've been in the design field for 8 years, and I always knew design was something I wanted to do. After completing my bachelor's in design, I landed my first job out of college through the college recruitment side. I worked for 6 years in India before coming to the US, where I just completed my master's in design from Indiana University about a year ago. Currently, I work for Lenovo, where I shape the strategy for our mobile experiences. On a daily basis, my job entails trying to look at what new features to add, how we can enhance our current experience, and what is new in the market. Since AI is up and rolling right now, I'm focused on designing and understanding how users perceive AI and whether they even require it in certain spaces. Building with AI is one of my current responsibilities. Looking ahead, I definitely see myself as a design leader someday down the line. It's really good to be influencing people in tech, and I remember when I first started doing design, a lot of people didn't know that there was something like this in India. A couple of my friends, brothers and sisters, they were like, okay, what do you exactly do? After speaking with them, they kind of chose this career path, and now they've become designers alongside me.
