Sofia Bari

I'm currently a student at George Washington University, where I'm pursuing two majors in International Affairs and International Business, with an expected graduation next spring in 2027. When I was in high school, I co-founded Beyond the Ballot with Victor Rivera, who serves as our executive director while I serve as deputy director. Starting a nonprofit from scratch at such a young age with absolutely no knowledge of what was going on was incredibly challenging, but my team and I have built it into an expansive national platform. My typical day involves checking emails, handling administrative work, coordinating with partnerships, working on endorsements, organizing events like upcoming strikes, and doing civic engagement work to organize young people. I also work at a law office as an administrative assistant. I've been in the political field for about 4 to 5 years now, with 2 to 3 years officially focused on nonprofit work. I'm usually the youngest person in every room, but I love doing whatever needs to get done, whether that's tabling, voter registration, helping set up events, or finding venues.
