About Sofia
My professional journey in marketing spans 7 years, with roots that go back even further through my family's real estate development business where I first gained exposure to the field. My formal career began at FIU with a marketing internship at Chartwell's Higher Education, where I had the opportunity to work with big-name brands like Chick-fil-A and Starbucks on the FIU campus here in Miami. That experience really piqued my interest in the field and confirmed that marketing was the path I wanted to pursue. For the past 2 years, I've been with Harris Media, which has been a significant jump into the political and non-profit marketing space. I work on campaigns for people running for Congress and governor, as well as politically adjacent non-profits, including national security campaigns and organizations honoring service members. My day-to-day work is incredibly dynamic - I create strategic plans for clients, manage ad budgets, oversee website development, and launch digital marketing campaigns across various social media channels and other platforms. What I love most about this field is the creative freedom it offers. Unlike a typical 9-to-5 with repetitive tasks, marketing gives me the chance to find new ways of doing things and take projects in different directions. Looking ahead, I'm excited to continue working with clients in the political field while also exploring opportunities with larger franchise clients to learn more about scalability and the strategic impact of marketing campaigns.
