What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to surrounding myself with like-minded, purpose-driven people, maintaining a positive and curious mindset, and embracing the belief that there is always more to learn, contribute, and achieve. What keeps me grounded are the ancestors who came before me, those who had far less but persevered, so that I can strive to do my very best.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Build your career around purpose, not position. The most fulfilling careers evolve from aligning your personal values with your professional goals. Whether you’re navigating a pivot or aiming for the next leadership role, focus on environments that allow you to contribute authentically, grow continuously, and feel connected to the impact you’re creating. In a world where job titles and metrics often take center stage, remember that genuine curiosity about people, industries, and ideas, is what drives meaningful careers. The best professionals aren’t just experts; they’re learners who ask better questions, listen deeply, and stay adaptable in times of change.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering the industry to discover their inner talents and passions and then shape their careers around the work they truly love.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in talent acquisition today is balancing technology and humanity. AI and automation are transforming how we source, assess, and engage talent, but they also risk stripping away the empathy and nuance that define great recruiting. The real opportunity lies in using technology to enhance, not replace human judgment. Recruiters who understand both the data and the people behind it will be the ones shaping the next era of work. The field of talent acquisition is at a turning point. Organizations are moving toward skills-based hiring models, emphasizing adaptability, learning agility, and transferable strengths over traditional career paths. The challenge and opportunity is helping companies redesign how they define, measure, and reward talent. Leaders who can bridge business goals with inclusive, forward-thinking talent strategies will set the tone for the future workforce.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in my work and personal life are giving back to the community, embracing creativity and the arts, and nurturing a love for travel, dance, live music, and cultural experiences.
