Her Interview
Ten minutes with Soledad
01What do you attribute your success to?
I would say first a fear of failure and not wanting to waste resources and opportunities I was given. My parents and myself worked so hard to get here. Also, everyone deserves good things to happen to them. If you propose something for yourself and are a good person and work hard for it, you can achieve everything you believe. I believe in the power of manifestation and visualization paired with working hard.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Balancing all the different hats at my current co-op can be difficult. Learning to voice my opinion and have a backbone when disagreeing with bosses.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Family is first and foremost, especially with my Hispanic background. Discipline - wanting to do things even when you don't want to. Integrity and truthfulness - being 100% transparent makes things easier.
