Sonali Naidu serves as Immigration Specialist at TechVison, where she oversees all immigration-related matters for the global workforce management and technology consulting firm. With more than 13 years in the field, she handles H-1B visa processes, green cards, student visas, and related filings not only for the United States but also for Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and the Philippines. She works closely with employees, attorneys, HR teams, recruiters, and clients to ensure timely and compliant outcomes.
Naidu began her career in HR at the company before shifting her focus to immigration services, rapidly mastering the processes through dedication and on-the-job learning. Her educational background includes a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree supplemented by certifications in software technology system skills. She credits her professional achievements to paying full attention to her work, maintaining a positive mindset, and receiving support from her team and managers, while emphasizing her own effort and dedication as the foundation.
Among her notable accomplishments, Naidu takes pride in being the first woman to join TechVison, which helped pave the way for additional female hires and improved safety management practices within the organization. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I credit my success to paying 101% attention to my work, having a positive way of thinking, and the support from my team and managers. But first of all, it is my own effort and dedication that makes the difference.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
My managers and superiors advised me to be very particular about the documentation part, take care of all cases in a timely manner, focus on development and learning so I can learn very fast.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Believe in your ability and never stop learning. Believe in yourself first, keep learning, never hesitate to ask questions, be confident, stay result-oriented and supportive to other women, with dedication, learning and a positive attitude. Do not be afraid to take on new challenges, build strong relationships and communication with confidence, and support one another.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest opportunity is dealing directly with good clients like Amazon, Deloitte, Toyota, having conversations and explaining the immigration process to them based on my experience.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My core values are integrity, accountability, ownership of my responsibilities, maintaining honesty in everything, leadership, improving skills and knowledge, collaboration, supporting others, teamwork, building, growing, positive thinking, respect and accountability.
