About Sonika
I began my career in U.S. taxation and auditing in India, working full-time in public accounting as a CPA with an MBA in Finance. Early in my career, I gained valuable experience in both tax and audit before making the deeply personal decision to step away from my demanding role to focus on raising my children.
For seven years, I dedicated myself fully to motherhood. During that time, I discovered new passions that enriched my life, including baking, art, and spending meaningful time with my children through activities like biking and hiking. Those years gave me a new perspective on balance, priorities, and the kind of professional path I wanted to pursue moving forward.
As my children became more independent, I felt ready to return to the professional world, but I knew I wanted a career that would allow me to maintain the work-life balance that had become so important to me.
In August 2025, I found the opportunity to do just that in financial services. Today, I focus on financial education and guidance for families, helping them understand how to make their money work for them and identify gaps in their financial planning.
I am especially passionate about helping women who often leave financial decisions to their spouses and may lack the financial literacy needed to confidently participate in those conversations. My goal is to empower women with knowledge so they can take a more active and confident role in their financial futures.
What brings me the greatest fulfillment is knowing that the knowledge I share helps people feel more confident and empowered in their financial planning. Beyond building my own business, I also enjoy coaching and mentoring individuals who are interested in starting their own businesses and creating opportunities for themselves.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Sometimes it’s okay not to return to the exact path you were on before. Life evolves, and it’s perfectly fine to build forward and explore something new. Many women hesitate because they wonder whether a new path or business will work, especially if they’ve always been in traditional roles. My advice is to give yourself grace and take that leap of faith. Start with small steps, stay consistent, work hard, and don’t give up on trying something new. With time and persistence, you will start to see the results of your efforts.
02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The most important value for me is that whatever I do adds real value to people’s lives. I want to feel fulfilled knowing that my work makes a difference while also bringing me joy and purpose.
Family is another core value. As a dedicated mom, flexibility and work-life balance are essential to me. I wanted a career that allows me to support my family while pursuing meaningful work.
Finally, I value helping others succeed. Through my business, I have the opportunity to mentor and guide others who want to start their own ventures, creating a ripple effect of impact and empowerment.
