What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to remembering my “why.” My mom has been my greatest inspiration, and her strength reminds me to keep going no matter what. Hard work and never giving up have shaped everything I’ve achieved in life.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have received would be to "Always keep learning and growing." I am always eager to learn new things that will help me advance in my career. By being open-minded and continuing to learn, I am able to adapt to new things quickly.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell young women entering this industry to "Always remember that everyone has bad days, and if an employee or co-worker seems angry or hostile, then to just let it go. Some people can bring their outside issues to work and they do not intend to take it out on others."
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I feel the biggest challenges in this field would be trying to keep employees happy while following company policies. The opportunities in this field are endless, as long as I am willing to keep learning new things.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I value family above all. I have three sons and four wonderful grandkids, and I also take care of my mom. In my free time, I enjoy crafting, DIY projects, and baking — they bring me peace and joy outside of work.
