Do not neglect to do good." Sonya urges persistence in service: continue helping others, give sacrificially where appropriate, and stay committed to making a difference in people's lives. Hebrews 13:16
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges and opportunities in my field is balancing availability with personal well being. I strive to be accessible and supportive for everyone who may need guidance or assistance, while also recognizing the importance of setting aside time for myself. As a wife, mother, and grandmother, maintaining this balance allows me to serve others effectively while nurturing my family and sustaining my own health and purpose.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
In both my work and personal life, the values most important to me are service, faith, and family. I believe my calling is to help others, guided by my faith and commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of those I serve. Equally important is being present and supportive for my family and my husband of 31 years, who is a pastor, as we share a deep commitment to faith, community, and supporting one another in all aspects of life.
