About Sophia
Sophia Gamberini brings eight years of experience in medical device sales to her current role as a sales representative for a plastic surgeon in Brickell. She began her career in hospice sales, educating physicians on Medicare and Medicaid benefits, before joining BD where she covered vascular access, trained nurses on ultrasound and IV access, and handled surgery sales. After a brief stint at Steris, she transitioned to her current position to gain hands-on experience in aesthetics, a field she has long been passionate about. Within five months, she has sold $1.8 million, earned promotion to Territory Manager, and received the Rising Star award for exceeding quota. Sophia attributes her drive to her mother's example as a hustler and her stepdad's perseverance through challenges. She values honesty and integrity above all, advising others to take one step at a time and to sell only what they believe in.

01What do you attribute your success to?
My mom has always been such a hustler and provided me the lifestyle growing up all on her own. My stepdad never gives up and believed in God even when facing bankruptcy, which inspired my motivation and perseverance.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Take one step at a time.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The challenge is penetrating an area where there are already market leaders and people used to certain products or old-school ways of thinking. Bringing in a newer perspective or product is difficult unless you have good backing and truly believe in what you're selling.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty and being true to yourself. If you work in a company that's not honest or selling something you don't believe in, you're doing a disfavor to yourself and the company. Integrity is key.
