Her Interview
Ten minutes with Sowmya
01What do you attribute your success to?
I would strongly believe in the way I got upbringing from my parents and the way our parents taught us all the principles of life. I will definitely give all of that to my parents and my upbringing.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I received from my previous boss at PwC was change is the only constant. Be ready to adapt, be flexible, and be ready to go no matter what happens.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be confident and show vigilance or enthusiasm that you could do wonders in this field. Have the zeal or interest to get into this, keep open-mindedness, interest to learn something new and focus.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
People management, and everybody is resistant to change. Managing the people, understanding them, getting that expectation upfront, and making sure we are providing what they want.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Trust and honesty is the first and foremost value principle. Integrity, honesty, and kindness. That is the very first basis upon which you can build your personal life as well as your professional life.
