About Sowmyanka
Sowmyanka Andalam serves as Lead AI Engineer at U.S. Bank, where she leads efforts to integrate AI capabilities into the banking sector while guiding a team of developers. With 11 years in software engineering, she previously worked at Intuit as Staff Software Engineer and Engineering Lead, responsible for creating scalable enterprise-level platform systems. During her Master's studies in Computer Science at Louisiana Tech University, she contributed as a developer to modernize manual university processes. Sowmyanka earned her Bachelor's degree in Information Technology in India. She holds a patent for her AI innovations and has received the Best Employee Award on two occasions. As an active IEEE member, she acts as a peer reviewer for software engineering papers and has published multiple papers herself. Sowmyanka fosters collaborative and empathetic team environments, mentoring junior staff and peers across teams ranging from nine to thirteen members.
