Her Interview

Ten minutes with Srishti

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my parents and my husband who made me believe in myself and gave me the confidence to move to the US and build a new life, as well as my mentors and managers at Cadence India who groomed me technically and supported my growth.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

My manager and director advised me not to be afraid of making mistakes as long as I own them and correct them to be better next time. This changed my perception and helped me tackle work with more confidence.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

They shouldn't be afraid of being who they are and being their true selves. You don't have to prove yourself to be the same as others; just be you and follow the path you are really passionate about.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is that with AI, people are relying on it too much and forgetting to build the groundwork and foundation for their careers. Young people are becoming better at prompt engineering but not gaining real expertise, which could have a devastating effect on the next set of leaders in our niche domain.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Being very honest about what you do and cannot do, not being afraid of accepting who you really are. Work ethic is very important. Direct communication rather than backbiting. Having a light atmosphere where I can feel myself.
