Srividhya G. Subramanian

Srividhya G. Subramanian is a Scientist in the discovery department at Aktis Oncology, where she specializes in Mini Protein Sciences and contributes to the development of potential therapeutic products. Since joining the company in March 2022 as an Associate Scientist, she has progressed into her current role while contributing to the growth of the organization and helping establish laboratory capabilities at its Boston site. Her work centers on high-throughput screening and flow cytometry to identify proteins that bind to targets of interest and support drug discovery.

Srividhya’s career is grounded in biotechnology and laboratory research. Before joining Aktis Oncology, she served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Johns Hopkins Medicine, where she conducted research involving cell-based assays and aseptic techniques. Earlier in her career, she gained research experience through positions at the National Centre for Biological Sciences, the Defence Research and Development Organisation, and the Indian Institute of Science in India, including work focused on host-pathogen interactions. She holds a Master of Science in Biotechnology from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from PES University.

Throughout her career, Srividhya has developed expertise in cell culture, cell-based assays, aseptic techniques, next-generation sequencing and flow cytometry. Among her professional accomplishments, she is particularly proud of contributing to her first project involving Nectin-4, which has progressed to clinical trials. Her experience at Aktis Oncology has also allowed her to grow alongside the organization while contributing to its expanding research capabilities. Driven by scientific discovery and the potential to translate laboratory research into future medicines, Srividhya continues to advance her expertise in biotechnology and pharmaceutical drug discovery.
