Her Story

About Srividya

My journey in education has been shaped by my own struggles to access learning opportunities. I came from a grassroots village called Pongkal in India, and coming from my village to town was difficult for me. I was the first one who came out of my hometown to study in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana. In 2016-17, I got selected for the U.S. Department of State scholarship for one year through the Community College Initiative Program - it's a volunteering, internship, education, and cultural exchange program where the U.S. Department of State selects candidates from 20 different countries and brings them here to train for one year. After that experience, I went back to India and completed my Bachelor's in Commerce. I got married and have a daughter who is now 4 years old. I left her when she was 1 and came to continue my studies in the U.S. in 2023. I completed my MBA in Finance from Osmania University in 2022, and simultaneously did yoga teacher training and meditation certification. I just graduated in January 2025 with my Master's in Business Analytics from Franklin University. Now I help international students who want to study in the US through BRIDG 360, because I've gone through all the struggles to get education, and I want to make the path simpler for others. I believe education is about decency, how to communicate with people, how to understand people, read people, and approach them to satisfy their needs. For me, knowing something is important, and understanding is important before reacting. I observe first, understand, analyze, and then react - but the outcome should always be in a positive way. Whatever is there, we need to be problem solvers, not problem creators.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Srividya

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my mother, Jindam Latha. She struggled with a large part of my education. Even when we didn't have anything, I got education. I'm really always gracious for her. Whatever I achieve in my life, I'm going to tribute to her. My mother is my mentor.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I received was from my organization, BRIDG 360, to promote education with budget-friendly universities. This advice aligned with my own experience and passion for making education accessible to students who want to study abroad.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say consistency is important. STEM education is valuable, and we should be aware of everything in our surroundings. What's most important is understanding what best fits you when making a decision. Some people think a decision might be wrong, or a plan might be wrong, but the goal we should reach must be consistent. No matter what, if we have one plan, there should be a second plan and third plan. If the first plan fails, you should go to the second or third plan. Before you do anything, just make a good plan and enter, but never take a back step in doing things. Just take a step and move forward - everything will come, nature and people will come to help you. That's what happened in my life. Have a strong belief in whatever you do in your life, then complete it. If there is a good motive in you, people will support you. People are really ready to help in both ways.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are care, focus, consistency, and discipline. Care is the main goal of any work in this world - caring for somebody, taking care of someone. If you are working for a company or an employer, we need to care and be conscious about what we are doing. Attention brings everything into parallel for me. Patience is really important - for example, if you run a small business like a perfume store, you should be consistent. If the customer comes or not, doesn't matter, but at the end of the day or end of the week, you'll get a sale. Patience is really important before reacting, and something will happen in a positive way, in our way.
