About Stacey
Stacey Uffelman is a childcare professional with 38 years of experience in the field. She has worked in various preschools, including an after-school program with KinderCare Champions in Petaluma, California, where her responsibilities included supervising children on the playground and developing curriculum with themed lessons and projects. Uffelman earned her high school diploma from Casa Grande High School in Petaluma and completed early childhood education units at the junior college in Santa Rosa, culminating in an associate teacher certificate. She has been recognized by being featured in the Who's Who book. Uffelman credits her longevity in the profession to sticking with it, seeking clear direction from superiors, and relying on prayer. She values teaching young children positive social skills and personally prioritizes following the teachings of Jesus.

01What do you attribute your success to?
Sticking with it, asking my superiors what they want done and how they want it done, and definitely a lot of prayer and asking friends to pray for me in different situations.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Keep learning about your career because things change so much, even in childcare.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Learn, ask questions when you don't know what to do from people who have been in the industry longer than you, and definitely pay attention to what your supervisor wants.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
In work, teaching children how to get along with each other in a good way. Personally, following Jesus and what He says in His Word are closest to my heart.
