Her Interview
Ten minutes with Stacie
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to having a strong foundation from studying theory and knowing the whens, whys, and hows, not just doing things. Also the support of my siblings when I was younger and now the encouragement from my own children when they see me working hard.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
My mom used to say that not every argument is meant for you to actually argue. Sometimes you can win when you shut up. The biggest win is you actually shutting up and walking away.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Do it afraid. Just get out there. Be confident, hold your head up, do the thing. If you make mistakes, learn from them and just keep moving forward.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is the trend toward AI composing music and fast fashion in beauty that lacks integrity and human touch. The opportunity is keeping the human touch in everything I do so people know it was not done by a robot.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Being integral is huge for me, both personally and professionally. Always doing the right thing, even if no one's watching. I am a Christian girly raised as a pastor's kid, so even when you think no one's watching, God is watching. Always be integral in your work, in your work ethic, in your daily life.
