Her Interview
Ten minutes with Stacy-Ann
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to having a supportive family. I couldn't do it without my mom helping with the kids, my husband stepping in when I have storms to cover or need a break, and my kids pitching in around the house. They remind me to take care of myself and that these moments are fleeting. Without them, I wouldn't be able to balance everything.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice is that there is no perfect balance when being a mom, wife, and having a career. Just do what you can. You may not have it all at once. Love what you do, take breaks, and know that your health is just as important as being the best you can be. Take your time and take care of yourself so you don't lose yourself.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Know your why. Know why you want to do it. It's work, not just to be on TV or famous. For longevity, know your stuff, learn your craft, hone your craft, have a path, don't be afraid to ask questions, humble yourself, and know there's more to it than just the craft.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is the transition into more digital space and trying to conquer that while things are changing and evolving. We're pivoting and doing our best to keep up and succeed day by day.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My values are aligned with God first, then my family. Those are my priorities and what's important.
