Stacy Craven, MPA, is an experienced operations analyst and public administration professional based in Lexington, North Carolina. She currently serves as an Operations Analyst for the City of Winston-Salem’s Solid Waste division, where she manages a $14 million operational budget, conducts tonnage and revenue analysis, and oversees grant applications and annual state reporting. With a career spanning multiple public sector roles, Stacy has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service, organizational efficiency, and strategic program management.

Prior to her current role, Stacy held a variety of leadership positions, including Town Clerk/HR Officer for the Town of Spencer, Finance Specialist II for Davidson County Public Services, and Sr. Office Assistant-Team Leader for Forsyth County Public Health. Throughout her career, she has excelled in budget preparation, staff supervision, policy development, program implementation, and compliance with state and federal regulations. Stacy is also deeply committed to mentoring and motivating youth, leveraging her communication and leadership skills to make a positive impact in her community.

Stacy earned her Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Ashford University and holds additional certifications, including Notary Public. Outside of her professional work, she is actively involved in volunteer and community service organizations, including the Order of Eastern Star, Lexington Gators Youth Football program, Lexington City School Booster Club, and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Known for her organizational expertise, attention to detail, and dedication to public service, Stacy continues to make meaningful contributions to both her workplace and the wider community.

I attribute my success to my faith, my principles, and an unwavering optimism and strength. My passion for public service has guided me from starting as a health department office assistant to my current role as an Operations Analyst, and it inspires me to give back to my community through initiatives like "Empower Her Mentoring."

My advice to young women entering public service is to follow your passion, seek exposure to learn if it’s the right path for you, never give up, and approach everything you do with dedication and enthusiasm.

The values most important to me in my work and personal life are family, quality time together, and pursuing hobbies like crocheting and crafts.
