Her Story

About Stacy

For Stacy Curry, career growth has never been about following a predetermined path. Instead, it has been shaped by curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to embrace new opportunities. Today, she serves as a Facilities Planner at Universal Orlando Resort, where she supports attraction enhancements, as well as operational and maintenance initiatives. Since joining Universal in 2015 as a Scenic Painter, she has contributed to projects across Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and Volcano Bay.

Before joining Universal, Stacy's career journey took her through a wide range of creative and guest-focused experiences. She helped build immersive environments for organizations including the Cincinnati Zoo, SeaWorld Orlando, Ripley's Believe It or Not!, Brookfield Zoo, and Mote Marine Aquarium. Along the way, she also held leadership roles in hospitality, retail, marketing, and event production, gaining valuable insight into the people, operations, and experiences that bring organizations to life.

One of the most meaningful aspects of Stacy's journey has been sharing much of it with her twin sister, Shannon Mann Boudreau. Over the years, they worked side by side in retail and entertainment leadership roles, collaborated on exhibit construction and themed environments, and contributed to projects at zoos, attractions, and Universal's theme parks, including the opening of Volcano Bay. Those shared experiences not only strengthened their bond but also reinforced Stacy's appreciation for collaboration, adaptability, and lifelong learning. Today, she brings that same spirit to her work, believing that meaningful success is built through collaboration, shared experiences, and empowering others to contribute their unique strengths.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Stacy

01What do you attribute your success to?

Stacy attributes much of her success to staying curious and being willing to step outside her comfort zone. Throughout her career, she has embraced opportunities to learn new skills, take on new challenges, and gain experience across a variety of industries. She believes some of the greatest growth happens when you're willing to say yes before having everything figured out.

She also credits the people she's met along the way. Whether through mentors, teammates, leaders, or colleagues, every relationship has contributed to her growth and helped shape the person and professional she is today

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Stacy believes some of the best lessons in life come from the people who lead by example. Her mother taught her the importance of integrity, perseverance, and treating others with kindness and respect, values that continue to guide her decisions today.

Another lasting influence has been her twin sister, Shannon Mann Boudreau. Growing up, adapting to change together, and later sharing many professional experiences taught Stacy the importance of trust, resilience, and collaboration. Their journey reinforced her belief that while everyone's path is different, success is often built through strong relationships and mutual support.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Stacy encourages young women to remain open to opportunities, even if they don't look exactly the way they imagined. "Some of the best experiences in my career came from taking chances and being willing to learn something completely new," she says. "You don't have to have your entire path mapped out to keep moving forward."

She also believes it's important to trust yourself. "Ask questions, stay curious, and don't underestimate the value of your perspective. The confidence to keep learning and growing can take you much further than having all the answers."

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Stacy sees opportunity in change. As industries continue to evolve, she believes there is tremendous potential to rethink processes, strengthen collaboration, and create even better experiences for guests and team members.

She also believes challenges can be some of the greatest teachers. Rather than viewing obstacles as setbacks, Stacy looks at them as invitations to learn, adapt, and discover new possibilities. Often, the solutions that create the biggest impact come from moments that initially seemed difficult

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Stacy believes creativity, connection, resilience, and continuous growth are at the heart of everything she does. She enjoys imagining what's possible, finding ways to bring ideas to life, and helping others see opportunities they may not have recognized in themselves.

More than any accomplishment, she values the relationships she builds along the way. Whether supporting a teammate, mentoring someone, or collaborating on a project, Stacy finds the greatest fulfillment in helping people succeed and creating environments where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to grow.
