Her Interview
Ten minutes with Stacy
01What do you attribute your success to?
I've had a really rough life, and I've been through a ton of trauma in my lifetime, and there's always a way out, and I just feel you've got to support yourself and find out how to love yourself and do the things that nurture to care for yourself, and then you can be there and show up for other people. So it's really maintaining your own health as best as you can, but also supporting yourself and handling what you need to handle within.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Really just to not be afraid to be yourself. And if you want to learn something learn something, you know, I've never liked to keep myself in a box I'm all over the place my family calls me their little red-headed tumbleweed because I'm always moving around and you know, just you can't be afraid to try because what could go wrong is that is sort of my view on that. Just if something interests you, try it and see what happens.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The challenges right now, I'm going to be looking for a new career, which I currently am. My boss finally wants to retire, and I agree. He's a financial advisor and a retired police officer. Just trying to get yourself out there in the current world. It's very difficult for you know, I'm and just lacking all of the training through the years, trying to just keep up with all of the new software, AI, that's been the most difficult, but it's also sort of the most exciting, if that makes sense. Learn now and there's so many doors but you know just getting yourself out there it is really difficult.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Being true to yourself, as well as just being an honest, good person, basically. You know, you gotta be able to sleep well at night, and just being true to yourself, sticking with your gut, your intuition, and just giving back when you can.
