Stacy Wiggins is a seasoned technology and communications professional with a strong background in sales, account management, and media. Currently serving in Major Projects at Johnson Controls, Stacy specializes in connected technologies and strategic account development, helping clients implement innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency and building performance. Based in Virginia Beach, she brings nearly two decades of experience working across technology, communications, and client-focused industries.
Before transitioning into the technology sector, Stacy built a solid foundation in broadcast journalism, working as a reporter for respected television stations including WTKR News Channel 3, WOI-TV 5, and WBOY. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from West Virginia University, where she developed the communication and storytelling skills that continue to set her apart in her professional career.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my strong work ethic, my courage to embrace change, and my passion for building relationships, which started with my dream of becoming a news reporter and grew through my transition into technology. Balancing my love for family with my career has driven me to excel, and I’m proud to work with an incredible team while doing work I truly love.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is from my father: never give up and always strive to be successful, no matter the challenges.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering this industry to build strong connections with other women, believe in themselves, and stay resilient, because being a career woman isn’t always easy but it is incredibly rewarding.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are family, showing up for my kids, and creating meaningful memories together, especially while traveling to their soccer games and spending quality time with them.
