Ten minutes with Stefania
01What do you attribute your success to?
Over the past 17 years, I have built my career in supply chain management, logistics, and operations, helping organizations navigate complex challenges while creating pathways for sustainable growth.
My career began in 2008 with DHL, where I served as a Quality Risk Manager and later as a Trade Lane Manager overseeing business between Italy and the United States. Those early years taught me the importance of precision, adaptability, and relationship-building in an increasingly interconnected global economy. Working across international markets gave me a firsthand understanding of how supply chains serve as the backbone of successful businesses.
I later joined JAS Worldwide, where I managed Italian business development throughout the Southeastern United States. In that role, I worked closely with companies expanding into the American market, helping them navigate not only logistics and transportation but also the broader challenges of entering a new business environment. It was during this time that I developed a deeper appreciation for the strategic role supply chain professionals can play in helping businesses thrive.
Today, I serve as the Operations and Supply Chain Leader at Homer USA, an Italian manufacturer of automotive lifts and parking solutions. While my experience in the automotive industry spans the last three years, my broader background in logistics, operational efficiency, and process improvement has enabled me to contribute meaningfully to the company’s growth and success. Every day presents new opportunities to streamline operations, solve problems, and create value for customers and stakeholders.
If there is one lesson I have learned throughout my journey, it is that success is not defined solely by personal achievements. True success comes from helping others grow, creating opportunities, and making a lasting impact on the organizations and communities we serve. Whether I am leading operational initiatives, supporting international businesses, or contributing to the work of the Chamber of Commerce, my goal remains the same: to build meaningful connections that create value and drive progress.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Like many women in leadership, I have spent much of my career working in industries where female representation has traditionally been limited. Those experiences taught me the value of perseverance, confidence, and resilience. I learned that expertise, preparation, and consistency can overcome barriers and create opportunities. Along the way, I have been fortunate to have mentors who believed in my potential, particularly Eugenio Fumo, whose guidance and encouragement helped shape my professional development. He helped not just within the professional world but also with life advice and he saw the potential in me as a CEO and allow me to explore other fields while in my position
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Embrace continuous learning and keep developing your skills throughout your career.
Value the guidance of mentors and seek out people who can help you grow professionally.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Beyond my corporate responsibilities, one of the most rewarding aspects of my career has been my involvement with the Italian American Chamber of Commerce. As a board member of the Georgia Chapter for more than six years—and a co-founder of the chapter—I have had the privilege of supporting Italian businesses as they establish and expand their presence in the United States. My role extends beyond supply chain and logistics; I often assist companies in understanding organizational structures, market integration, and the many challenges that come with international expansion. Helping businesses succeed while strengthening economic ties between Italy and the United States is a responsibility I value deeply.
Education and continuous improvement have always been important to me. I studied International Maritime Law in Italy, which provided a strong foundation in global trade and international business. More recently, in 2023, I earned a Lean Six Sigma certification through Emory University, further strengthening my expertise in operational excellence and process optimization. I believe that learning should never stop, regardless of where we are in our careers.
