Her Story

About Stephanie

With 30 years of experience in the beauty industry, I serve as a District Manager for Ulta Beauty, where I currently oversee 10 stores after a recent fiscal year realignment. My role is centered on being a strategic leader, focusing on strategy, people development, and creating impact across multiple locations. A typical day involves working through data-driven reports, giving presentations, developing people, and creating impact. What truly inspires me and drives my work is seeing people realize their potential. Throughout my career in the beauty industry, I've had countless opportunities to mentor stylists and leaders who sometimes don't see their own greatness. When I help someone build their confidence, grow their skill set, or create an opportunity for themselves and their families because of having sustainable income, it's a powerful feeling. Whether it's through education, leadership, or community outreach, helping people grow and elevate themselves is what fuels my passion. I hold a cosmetology instructor license and have an educational background that includes two years at TSU and classroom teaching experience in city school systems. I'm currently pursuing my degree in HR Management through Strayer University, where I've achieved President's Club status, which is the equivalent to the Dean's List.

01What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Professionally, my top three values are integrity, growth, and empowerment. Integrity means being true to myself in everything I do. Growth relates to being a lifelong learner, always continuing to develop and expand my knowledge. Empowerment is about having a passion and a heart for everything that I do. Personally, my core values are faith, family, and compassion. Faith is the core of who I am. Family is very important to me - even though I'm climbing the career ladder, I still have a legacy to build and I'm very hands-on with my grandkids. I'm a 50-year-old grandmama with 4 grandkids, and I have my granddaughter who has autism. Compassion is essential because it's about showing kindness, patience, and understanding, because someone had to show kindness, patience, and understanding to me.
