Her Story
About Stephanie
I've always been passionate about helping people, which led me to find a place where I could be in business but very close to the people. I started as an intern with P&G over 23 years ago and stayed in HR throughout my entire career. My last 5 years at P&G were transformative - I was part of the global IT function, which was my first time supporting such a technical area after previously working with business, marketing, and sales. I led a massive transformation project where we doubled the organization size in 3 years, hiring over 3,000 highly technical employees, which was uncommon for P&G as a promote-from-within company. We created systems, applications, and processes from scratch that helped the entire enterprise transform. This experience taught me the value of connecting strategy, technology, and people to drive real change. After leaving P&G in December, I launched Strategic Connexus with three pillars: helping mid-sized businesses with digital transformation and AI adoption, developing leaders through coaching and certified training programs, and building an HR community to help HR leaders become strategic value creators rather than just administrative support. I'm Mexican, lived 11 years in Panama, and moved to the U.S. 5 years ago, so I've experienced significant change myself as a working mom with 3 kids who went through the pandemic adjustment.

Ten minutes with Stephanie
01What do you attribute your success to?
I think going through my own change and learning from that has been key to my success. Knowing that change is not easy, but that it can bring great things when you structure it and think about what you want to do in a way that integrates your personal life and the business - that's what I've learned from my own experience. I've lived in different countries, so getting adjusted to that has meant going through a lot of change too, and those experiences have shaped how I approach transformation work.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would say find your passion. And once you find your passion, learn every day something new about your passion, so you are the best in that field that you've chosen. And then share it with others and have fun while doing it.
