Her Story

About Stephanie

I've been with the same company for 39 and a half years, and that journey has taught me so much. I worked double digits years in manufacturing, and combined that with customer service assignments, order management assignments, and then an inside sales manager's position, project manager's position, and now in the marketing, channel marketing role for the last 7 to 8 years. Each progression builds on the next, and each one has been a foundation for the next. You really get a chance to see how you need one another - whether you're in sales, whether you're on the manufacturing floor, whether you're the engineer, whether you're the one quoting it, whether you're the one that's educating the partner to sell it. Each person is just as important. So you need that collaboration, you need that closeness, and I think that's taught me a lot that not one course in college could really teach you. In the last 3 years, I had a medical diagnosis which caused me to pause my work for a while. I had to have 33 rounds of chemo and a bone marrow transplant. But I am so glad to say that everything turned out great. I am healed, I am whole. Talk about resilience, talk about faith over fear, talk about a company that was willing to work with me through this ordeal. I'm determined to come back and determined to fight through this particular situation. I'm not going to say it's been easy, but I'm just so thankful, and that's the word that comes to mind - thankful and grateful.

Ten minutes with Stephanie

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to finding a company that aligned with my personality and my values. Being so blessed and so fortunate to find a company like this has made all the difference. The company I work for is so involved in community service, and that alignment has been crucial. I've also learned that collaboration is essential - being with the same company for 39 years has really taught me a lot about collaboration and listening. Real life experience is the best teacher. Each progression in my career has built on the next, whether it was manufacturing, customer service, order management, inside sales manager, project manager, or now channel marketing. You really get a chance to see how you need one another, and that collaboration and closeness has taught me more than any college course could. And recently, my resilience through my medical challenges - having faith over fear and being determined to come back and fight through - has shown me what I'm truly capable of.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I hope that the next generation and other women in particular are fortunate enough to find a company that aligns with their personality and values, like I did. It's so important to find that alignment because it makes all the difference in your career and your ability to contribute meaningfully.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are collaboration, listening, and building trust. At the end of the day, you really want your partners to be profitable, and that requires really listening to what their business entails and making sure we collaborate very closely. I believe each person is just as important, whether you're in sales, on the manufacturing floor, or educating partners. You need that collaboration and closeness. I'm also deeply committed to community service and giving back - being part of a company that's so involved in community service has been essential to me. And through my recent health challenges, I've learned the importance of resilience, faith over fear, and gratitude. The words that come to mind are thankful and grateful.
