Her Story
About Stephanie
My career journey has taken me across the globe over the past 15 years. I started at an ad agency, then moved to the brand side working for tech companies. I lived and worked internationally, moving to Germany for Trivago, then to the UK for Expedia, and finally to the United States for TripAdvisor. When COVID hit, I pivoted within the tech industry, moving away from travel to work for The Zebra. I then spent 4 years at an ad agency, gaining valuable experience, until about a month ago when I started my own consultancy. My expertise is in scaling and growing brands in a meaningful way. A typical day involves managing large budgets, working closely with data analytics and data scientists to ensure the impact of media spend is optimized, and doing lots of A-B testing to get the best accountability and performance out of every marketing dollar. I've had the exceptional experience of doing marketing in over 30 countries, which has allowed me to engage with people across the world and do business on an international level.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Stephanie
01What do you attribute your success to?
I'd say a combination of having an outline of a vision for myself, but not getting so rigid with the details of what comes next, and really just putting one foot in front of the other and following the opportunity based off of that outline. I think it's about having that broader vision without being too locked into the specifics, which allows me to stay flexible and take advantage of opportunities as they come.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received was from a manager who told me not to be too predictable. It was more personal feedback for me, but I think it could hold relevance in anyone's career. That piece of advice definitely pops up in my head for good reason.
