Ten minutes with Stephanie

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Ask questions until you figure it out. I didn't know anything when I came in, and I figured it out, and if I didn't know how to do it, I'd ask my questions, and I'd take my notes, and I learned it, and now I'm doing it by myself.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Pay attention. Pay attention, learn as much as you can. Learn everything you can, whether it doesn't seem important, whether it's just one paper, one document, just try to get all that knowledge, because that knowledge will help you in the end.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

For myself specifically, because I didn't come from an electrical background, that is a big struggle with me, but I am learning, and you know, they're taking the time. For me specifically, would be more of the electrical components of the project.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Discipline, for sure, because I have, you know, as a younger female in the company, it's been a little bit not challenging, but it had to get used to, you know, being around all the other men, and just finding that discipline to make sure everything gets done correctly.
